Glenn Maxwell who scored the fastest hundred in history of the 50 over World cup 

After the 62 run win over Pakistan the Aussies continue there winning streak with a incredible 309 run win over Netherlands the game finished: AUS: 399/8  NED: 90 

This is what Australia's Skipper Pat Cummins had to say:

[Assessment] Just about the complete game. Couldn't be happier. [Maxwell's innings] That was crazy. Thought we both contributed equally in that 100-run partnership. [Smith, Labuschagne runs] We are starting to play to our potential and play in the style we talk about. We had another good batting powerplay. [ Bowling powerplay wickets] Its what we are aiming for. We have bowled  quite well but without a lot of luck. Zampa, another four-for. [ New Zealand next] Prepped as good as we can be. They are a good side. They have played in Dharamsala before. Its a big game, its a World Cup. [Better next game- what?] Haven't nailed 50 overs in the batting. Something to work on."


Records were broke in this match one of which was Glenn Maxwell smashing the fastest hundred in the history of the 50 over World Cup aiding in the 309 run win against the Dutch side. Maxwell went three figures of 40 deliveries, beating the previous 49-ball record set by South Africa's Aiden Markram  earlier in the 2023 tournament. Maxwell managed to hit eight sixes and nine fours in his 53-minute onslaught after David Warner had earlier scored a 93-ball 104 as The Aussies posted a formidable 399 for eight off there 50 overs. After this they bowled the Dutch out for 90  which strengthens there chances in the next four games of the tournament. 


The Australians take on New Zealand this Saturday at 06:00

CRICKET HISTORY: SANDPAPERGATE

  Today is the first instalment of cricket history and iam going to cover quite a infamous event, Sandpapergate.  For those of you that don't know Sandpapergate was a ball tampering incident that involved Cameron Bancroft, Captain Steve Smith and David Warner. During a test match against South Africa in March of 2018, Cameron Bancroft was caught rubbing the match ball with a small yellow object. He was then seen stuffing said object into his trousers, when approached by the umpire he pulled out a dark microfiber sunglass pouch from his pocket. The umpires inspected the ball and concluded that it had not been noticeably tampered with. THE AUSSIES EMERGE VICTORIOUS OVER PAKISTAN

 Australia beat Pakistan by 62 runs yesterday, which earns them there second win in the world cup which happens to move them up into fourth behind South Africa and ahead of New Zealand. The Aussies have started the world cup campaign by losing to India by 6 wickets and South Africa 134 runs. They redeemed themselves by beating Sri Lanka by 5 wickets and Pakistan by 62 runs. This is what Australia's captain, Pat Cummins had to say:  "That was great. Pretty tough playing here but good to get a win. Proper from the openers, it set the tone and we want to take the game on like that. The key in ODIs [one day internationals] is to carry on. You get on breakthrough and it looks tough for the next guy. Batting for long like our openers did, was great. Zampa has been awesome. Showed his class, he's a wicket taker .
